Network and Facilities
We at DoubleQuicktm realizes that you are serious about your online
business, and we are serious about ensuring that it is always
accessible, that's why we only choose the best in the business to
partner with. We are so confident of the services provided to us
that in the
event that network connectivity for your service plan is unavailable
for more than 0.1% of time in any calendar month, one full day's
service credit will be awarded for each consecutive hour of downtime
beyond the 0.1% threshold. The maximum credit awarded in any
calendar month will not exceed 100% of that month's hosting fees.

Bandwidth Utilization
It is a common misconception that the amounts of bandwidth (size of
the pipes that carry the data) differentiate web hosting companies.
In reality it is not only the size of the pipes that matters, it is
the utilization levels. The utilization of all Internet connections
is vital to a network's ability to transfer data without packet loss
or latency. The aims is to keep all connection usage below
40% to avoid any connectivity problems. Currently we are at 10%.
Dynamic Routing
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) is
used for best case
routing. The BGP4 protocol is a standard that allows for the routing
of packets of information sent out from the network. Each packet of
information is evaluated and sent over the best route possible.
Because of the redundant network architecture, packets may be sent
via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same
end user. Should one of the providers fail, packets leaving the
network are automatically redirected through another route via a
different provider.
Network Security
The
network is a fully switched network. Traffic destined for a website
hosted on a server is sent only through switching equipment
necessary to deliver the information to that server. This minimizes
the risk of someone sniffing or capturing traffic being sent across
the network.
Facilities
Services are operated out of three carrier neutral facilities
which have been built from the ground up to provide secure,
redundant facilities to the Tier-1 carriers which ensures that we
meet our 99.99% uptime guarantee to you.
Facility Security
The facilities have multiple redundancies with Fortress style
construction, they also have Multi-layer security systems with
Motion detectors. There are strict security policies with Fixed and
roving security guards. The data center is physically isolated from
everyone but level three technicians. Public access is strictly
forbidden. Access to the floor the datacenter resides on is
restricted and completely locked down.
These facilities have State-of-the-art fire
detection and suppression systems with Key card and biometric
access. The main facility has a 24-hour police presence. All of the
facilities are Manned 24x7x365, with Cameras, including
pan-tilt-zoom cameras, located throughout exterior and interior.
Regulated Climate Control
The data center's 2N + 1 redundant HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air
Conditioning) chilled water loop. Chiller plant is category 5
hurricane resistant with full particle filtering and humidity
control, the environment is maintained at a cool 68 F to ensure a
comfortable environment for your server.
Power Systems
The facilities are not reliant upon the local power grid to guarantee
maximum uptime. The on-site, auto-switched power generator and
centralized UPS systems provide power conditioning and ensure
uninterrupted data center operation. Additionally, the generator is
regularly tested to ensure that it will continue to function in the
event of an emergency. The main facility is fed commercial power
from 2 main FP&L sub-stations with 4 - 13,200 volt underground
feeders. There are also two generator vaults per floor sized for 3
generator sets each with two fuel vaults providing a total capacity
of 180,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The fuel loading stations can
house 4 tankers which can supply an additional 80,000 gallons of
fuel if needed. The Fuel tanks are double steel walled.
